Santa Monica Beach
What's more Cali than spending an entire day on the beach in LA? That west coast vibes gets me every time. Whenever I’m in LA, I always find myself at Santa Monica Beach. It literally has my name written all over it. I walk around the pier, soak up some sun, dip my toes in the Pacific, do yoga on the beach - all that stuff that' I don't have time for in NYC.
This feeling is one of the reasons I dream about being bi-coastal. New York is the place to be if you love the hustle. (And I DO love the hustle.) But if you're born and raise in NYC like me, you don't live here for the hustle. You hustle because you live here. So was I born to love the hustle? If I was born and raised in LA, every day might have been a beach day.
Verve Coffee Roaster
I could start my day would at Verve Coffee Roaster or any another cool, hip cafe you find in any corner of LA. It's a different kind of jungle out here. I'd sip my coffee, take out my laptop, put in a few hours on my consulting business, maybe write a little on the side.
Could I do it though? I’ve spent my entire career on the agency side. Why can't my next job be a beach bum? All I need is passive income. Real estate, maybe? Clearly, an Instagram influencer would not be a viable option given my failed attempt at a poised and chic photo.
Venice Beach Sunset & Drinks
A day in LA is not complete without a sweet sunset view. Venice beach has a younger, more hipster/eclectic vibe. It’s my default place to plop down at a rooftop bar and enjoy the set ablaze every evening.
