Dreary weather usually makes me want to crawl back in bed. In Prague though, the foggy gloom adds character to the “City of a Hundred Spires”. The weather gives the capital a gothic feel, which was quite fitting for Halloween.

After a quick view of the Astronomical Clock and heavy goulash for dinner last night, I walked over The Charles Bridge to get to the John Lennon Wall. The 30 statues the line both sides of the bridge kind of blended into the dull night sky so I didn’t think much of it in the dark.

When I crossed it again earlier the next day, I realized how picturesque the city looked from the bridge. It was like looking at a watercolor painting of a quintessential backdrop of Prague.

There’s really only one reason most visitors cross this bridge. It’s to get from Old Town, where the Astronomical Clock is located, to The Prague Castle, the largest ancient castle in the world. A trip here took up almost an entire day, but we’ll save that for the next blog post.
