Finally paying a visit to my second home. #themet

Being a grad student is pretty much synonymous with being really broke. I hadn’t refreshed my closet in TWO years! I know, #firstworldproblems. So when I finally got to don a new outfit from head to toe, courtesy of my sister, I had to take my first #ootd selfie.

It was the perfect look to kicked off my first weekend back in NYC. I spent the day wandering around The Metropolitan Museum of Art. After numerous visits, it’s become a familiar place to get lost in – like a second home. I went with no purpose; no exhibition in mind.

After working up an appetite roaming around The Met, I appeased the belly monster at The Red Lion.

  • Pro: They play live music seven nights a week.
  • Con: The Red Lion Burger was mediocre and there’s a $10 cover just to get in.

I laughed off some calories at the Comedy Cellar in Washington Square Park. The club has hosted a number of talents, including Dave Chapelle, Dane Cook, Wanda Sykes, Jerry Seinfeld and Chris Rock. Comedy shows are so much fun that it feels like it’s always too short.

Getting ready for summer with my first #ootd #selfie! #needsimprovement
